Return your absentee ballot: Drop it off at the Election Office, 120 2nd Ave., Des Moines, 8am to 5pm, OR call or text the Polk Dems at 515-207-2589 and a certified volunteer will pick it up and deliver it for you. If you mail your ballot it must be postmarked by November 2.

Virtual Fundraiser for Cindy Axne and Rhonda Martin! Oct. 14, 7:15pm

Please Save the Date for our upcoming Virtual Fundraiser for Congresswoman Cindy Axne (IA-03) and Rhonda Martin, Nominee for Iowa Senate District 20 with special guest, Shannon Watts, Gun Violence Prevention Advocate and Founder of Moms Demand Action! Flipping the Suburbs Blue in 2020 will be key to both flipping the Iowa Legislature and keeping Congresswoman Cindy Axne in the United States House of Representatives.

It is coming up Wednesday, October 14th from 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm. Host Committee is in formation.

The suggested minimum to attend is $50 with donation levels at $100 Activist, $250 Friend, $500 Sponsor, $1,000 Host, and $2,800 Champion.

Countdown to Election Day!

Important Dates:

Monday, October 5: First Day of Absentee Voting You can vote absentee in-person at your county auditor’s office or an appropriate satellite location if available beginning today through November 2. This is also the first day county auditor’s can mail absentee ballots to voters who have requested them.

Monday, October 19: Worry-Free Postmark Date for Pre-Registration

Saturday, October 24, 5 p.m.: Pre-registration Deadline; Deadline to Request Absentee Ballot to be Mailed

Saturday, October 31: Auditor’s Office Open for Absentee Voting

November 2: Absentee Ballot In-Person Deadline; Postmark Deadline for Absentee Ballots

November 3: General Election Day
Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Absentee ballots must be postmarked on or before November 2nd or delivered to the county auditor by 9 p.m. on Election Day.
